Last week we went to Agent2022 in Miami, Florida. If you haven’t heard of this event, it’s a one-day conference aimed at educating agents and business owners in the following industries: insurance, travel, real estate, and auto. At Effective Coverage, we aim to provide you with the best service, so of course we had to be there. Along the way, we met a lot of people who had great insight into these industries, and we even got to meet Gary Vaynerchuk himself! We had a great time there, but more importantly, we picked up a lot of great advice. In this crazy tech world we live in, it’s important to keep up on trends, without losing sight of how we treat our customers. Read on for our top 5 takeaways from this trip.
1.Use your resources.
In an ever-increasingly tech-obsessed world, sometimes it’s hard to be aware of all the tools at your disposal. We were surprised at the list of untapped resources available to us that we learned about at Agent2022. Here at Effective Coverage, we understand that we are responsible for providing you with value. That’s why we try to provide value at every level of our business, from our social media pages to our blog posts, to our website. We never stop asking ourselves, “Are we using every resource available to provide our customers with better service?” If the answer is no, we act on it, immediately.
2. Our clients are people.

At Agent2022 we discussed the importance of providing value to our customers.
During one of the panels at Agent2022, Kelly Donahue-Piro from APP spoke about the importance of speaking to clients as people. We pride ourselves on having made this a priority from day one, but the fact that we even have to say this is astonishing! Many companies sometimes forget that their customers are people first. We always make sure to talk to our customers, not because it’s a best business practice, but because it is the right thing to do. Here at Effective Coverage, we will make sure to take that extra 15 seconds to talk to our clients because we want you to remember us as the company who cares.
3. Make an impact.
We learned at Agent2022 the importance of an impactful service. Here at Effective Coverage, we aim to provide a memorable experience to you, instead of simply checking chores off of our to-do list. When we interact with our clients, we always ask, “What else can we do to provide a better, more memorable service?” One way we accomplish this is to provide multiple levels of communication. We provide answers to your insurance questions through our social media accounts, as well as produce informative blogs to educate on insurance, security, and lifestyle. We want to become a resource for you to not only use but to trust. If we can provide you with the answers to your questions in an impactful format, then that’s even better!
4. Take risks.
“Good enough” is just a bad idea always, because you’re not pushing yourself and taking it there.
–Gary Vaynerchuk
At Agent2022, Gary V. discussed the importance of risk-taking, and here at Effective Coverage, we’re not afraid of taking risks. Risk-taking is what has driven us to become a better business. We will never stop pushing boundaries with the aim to improve your experiences, and to do this, we’ve had to put ourselves out there. We wouldn’t have over 50,000+ policies issued without the support of you, our clients. You continue to provide us with feedback on what we’re doing well, and what we could do better. When our CEO Eric Narcisco left Chubb to start Effective Coverage, he did not let fear of the unknown stop him. He had lost everything he owned in an apartment fire and learned firsthand that there was a need for renters to be more protected. The takeaway message here is to never doubt yourself; take action and the rest will follow.
5. Be Yourself

We were so excited to meet Gary V. at Agent2022!
At Agent2022, Andy Frisella talked about the importance of being yourself, and how you can’t stand out if you follow a crowd. He discussed how he had a facial disfigurement that he felt always held him back from success until he learned to embrace it. He realized his disfigurement made him unique, and used it to empower himself instead of holding him back.
Here at Effective Coverage, we are not afraid to stray from ordinary conventions. When you follow your instincts and do the right thing, (but on your own terms) people will notice. We will never stop being ourselves. As mentioned previously, we believe in taking risks, and part of taking a risk is not being afraid to stand out.
We had an amazing time at Agent2022, and we’re looking forward to it again next year! This conference has inspired us to take action to provide even better service to you. Stay tuned for bigger and better changes from us here at Effective Coverage. Did this blog inspire you? If so let us know what you think on our Facebook page, or our Twitter handle @ECinsure.
